AROUND CANTERBURY
Canterbury Arts Council
Canterbury Arts Council is an independent umbrella body which receives funding from a number of Patrons, notably Canterbury City Council, and from the affiliation fees of its members.
Its aims are to encourage and assist in presenting public concerts, recitals, dramatic performances, art exhibitions, lectures, arts festivals and other arts events in the Canterbury district.
CAC makes assistance available by way of support and advice, publicity, offers of guarantees against loss, and limited grant aid. Applicants may be organisations or individuals, amateur or professional.
CAC is keen to support new work, the involvement of professional artists, the participation of young people plus those with disabilities or disadvantages in other ways, joint ventures, and other events which widen awareness of the arts and seek to build new audiences.
Around Canterbury is a useful resource for events, shops and more in Canterbury, Herne Bay, Whitstable, Bridge, Deal and the surrounding area.
