Sadly, due to a lack of space on the site, we have decided to remove the Jukebox for the time being.
Eventually this page will be replaced by an A-Z of local bands, musicians and DJs, with links to their various websites and myspace pages.
Thanks to everyone who contributed a track over the last year; we hope you found a few new listeners.
Tracks by local artists can still be heard on the music player at the Wanderer myspace page - if you want a track featured there, please send your mp3s to canterburywanderer@hotmail.co.uk.
Ed first discovered the Ukulele when he heard Jake Shimabukuro's rendition of George Harrison's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". This started off a whole new era in his music. He was already playing Jazz and Classical Piano, Cello, Double Bass and Electric Bass, and he thought teaching himself the ukulele might be interesting. He found the tabs for While My Guitar Gently Weeps on the internet, and started playing.
A few months after learning While My Guitar Gently Weeps, he played his first gig on the ukulele, at the Regener8 festival at a local university. Since beginning writing his own songs, Ed has played in various open-mic nights and school concerts.
Having played Jazz, Rock and Funk in various groups he has a wide range of musical taste and experience.

ApeGod is the strange offspring of two brothers, Phil and Ian Holmes, plus a host of characters (Mitsubishi1, Brokenholmes, General Dynamics, Humbag The Dog, Mrs Hook, Uncle Michael, HelpImPolish, Micheal Sloabie, Brown Major) who may or may not actually exist. Formed in a bedroom in Woodchuch many moons ago, the pair went on to record such cassettes as "Ape In Sheep's Clothing", "The Apes Have Landed" and most recently, "You Do The Math". ApeGod disbanded for a while until they met Vic Spanner, who kept shoving a microphone in front of them until they gave in and recorded some new row.
Phil currently plays in a bunch of bands in Canterbury, including Mr Lovebucket and Amanes, while Ian is living a new life under the Witless Protection Program.
Luke Jackson is just 13, and is already far too good. He began learning the guitar four years ago and started singing soon after, and now plays acoustic sets up and down the country, as well as performing at the local Lounge On The Farm and Create festivals.
He has just collaborated with Paul Thomas on the track "Am I Good Enough For You", and has also had "Take Another Piece" remixed by local robot Vic Spanner. Hear the result here.
Vic Spanner is a reclusive hermit who does not know how to play any instruments. Being a bit of a control freak, he tends to end up doing everything himself, by sticking bits of sound together and sometimes recording grannies in charity shops.
His last E.P. "Vic Spanner vs Carnelian" is available to download free from www.earthmp.com
