This month bought to you in haiku
Looking for answers?
Nosing in someone’s garden
Will only bring tears
That thing that you lost
Was actually stolen
By a guy called Steve
If you want to win
Quicker, more accurate thought
Will do you no harm
Not understanding
Is simply the beginning
Of something greater
Take it to church, pal
The best thing for guilt is to
Forgive or forget
Tradition would claim
Ducks sleep with one eye open
But waiting for what?
Don’t laugh at the birds
If they catch you doing so
They will shit on you
Think of all the joy
Find it when you least expect
Save it ‘til it rains
You think you know, but
Don’t ask me to come correct
Who is it who lies?
Is dog man’s best friend?
Or merely an angry child
With a beard and teeth?
Some folks cross the road
But how many cross themselves
Before the end comes?
In life we are stones
In a war of attrition
We can only sink
