BRINGING INDEPENDENT FILM AND MUSIC TOGETHER.
Deadline for 2009 entries is late June.
2 Days Later was concocted in 2003 over a social drink between Mick and Chris of Beeping Bush Productions, a community arts and digital media company based in Thanet, and Jean from Close-Up Film, a national film website, based in Canterbury. Their mutual interest in grassroots filmmaking, encouragement of new and emergent filmmakers, and a healthy sense of fun resulted in 2 Days Later. Now, five years later, the competition attracts entries from all over the world.
In the June 2007 edition of Digital Video Magazine, 2 Days Later was ranked in the top five events for new filmmakers in the UK.
In 2006, 2 Days Later became a fully-fledged film festival when a series of filmmaking workshops was introduced to the event.
2007 saw a series of four workshops taking place, plus a lecture on horror, and horror screenings.
