The Foundry Bar & Grill is a new venue in town offering quality food and entertainment.
The main ingredients for the grill menu are sourced locally - for example the cows from which we get our steaks and the beef for our handmade burgers roam the fields in Chartham & Elham. Their butcher also makes them an exclusive recipe sausage - you can't get the Foundry banger anywhere else!
Everything is handmade and freshly cooked to order - they make everything from their own Caesar salad dressing to cutting their own chips, plus delicious ice cream and fabulously rich chocolate & marshmallow tarts.
Regular live music in the evening plus DJs at the weekend - an eclectic bunch of DJs and nights with everything from funk & soul nights, alternative nights right through to the latest in electro & breaks.
Reasonably priced drinks and the Foundry is the home of the £1.50 shooter.
If that’s not enough, they have table football to boot!

Another one of our top three places to eat, drink and chill out in Canterbury, Bramley's Bar is tucked away down Orange Street, next to the more well known music club. From the small doorway it all looks pretty inconspicuous, but once you enter and follow the draped hallway down into the main bar, you are in another world. This place has a great 19th century vibe, and actually gets the 'old fashioned look' spot on instead of just hoping that a few wooden beams will do the job. There's plenty of seating and space, plus armchairs, pianos, a cushioned ceiling and perfect lighting. You woudn't think such a spacious place was hidden away in there. The music is inobtrusive, but is nice and relaxed if you do want to listen. Great food - you can pick and mix your own cheeses and meats, all of which are served on a wooden chopping board, and it's this attention to detail that we love. Bramley's also has the most amazing men's toilets anywhere in town - every inch of the wall is covered in pages from comic books, some of which I read as a yoof. I could easily spend hours in there reliving the adventures of M.A.S.K. or Doomlord. And that's just the toilet!
Bramley's also has a pool table, board games, and a little area out the back for smoking, so you don't have to stand in the street. Free wi-if access is also available.

We met a drunk guy there once who gave me some money for me to call someone on my mobile, as he couldn't be trusted to have one. Then he fell asleep in the corner while we played pool.
